Our Applications Engineering Group is in search of experienced GUI and thick client applications developers. This Group is responsible for the development and delivery of client Java software to support the overall user experience for a range of wireless communications and data applications such as mobile phone, music, video, and games. The OS is targeted at high-end wireless devices, including SmartPhones. The OS OS is written using the J2SE (Java 2 Standard Edition 1.4) platform APIs and C. Code is expected to be developed to high quality standards, and is targeted for running on devices with limited memory, processing and other hardware resources. The candidate for this job must have the following experience: Minimum 5 years GUI/Client applications programming/design Understanding of mobile or wireless devices Implementation experience with resource constrained client devices Expertise in one or more of J2SE APIs, AWT, SWING, and custom Java Components would be advantageous. The candidate will be able to work to tough deadlines under pressure, but be able to maintain a sense of humor. The candidate will want to be part of an industry-leading, highly motivated team developing a state of the art product for deployment to millions of users worldwide.
